Elemental Symmetry - A new Print Series
I'm really excited to finally share this series of prints with you. This is the result of the past 6 months of going out with the Drone and my Camera every week and editing late into the night. Between now and the end of the year I'll be releasing over 50 new prints. Actually we'll be adding a new print to the Kess Gallery Store every day until Christmas.
After really enjoying the process of creating the Sea Blot Series and the subsequent success in the Store I really wanted to create a substantial body of work around the same theme. The result is the Elemental Symmetry Series. The photos in this series are mirrored to create unique and inspiring artworks that play with the viewer's imagination, similar to the effect achieved in the Rorschach Inkblot Tests. These prints are also inspired by a quote of one of my favourite Philosophers of the last century Alan Watts.

The variety of different fundamental elements like Earth, Fire, Sky, Water and their symmetrical alignment made the naming of this Series easy. Elemental Symmetry.
The process of creating these photos could be referred to as "Imaging Alchemy". Taking the photo is only part of the process. Mirroring and then aligning the images in photoshop is a lot more elusive. I spent a lot of time flip[ping and cropping the images until I felt I created something worth sharing that the viewer could truly lose herself in.
